Resist gays' attack on Mother's, Father's Day
THE EDITOR, Sir:
Do you see what happens when gay couples decide to adopt kids? The liberal newspaper, The Washington Post, published an article on Monday, May 8, just six days before Mother's Day, titled 'For some gay parents, Mother's Day (or Father's Day) is awkward'.
Basically, this article explored the call from segments of the LGBT community for the banning of Mother's Day and Father's Day, and for them to be replaced with Parent's Day alone. I'm glad that some members of the LGBT community are finally getting the picture that same-sex couples with kids will always be awkward.
Let me make it abundantly clear that Mother's Day and Father's Day are here to stay. Many households are single-parented, so either they prefer Mother's Day more or, in some instances, Father's Day more.
I know I'm going to get a stinging reply from J-FLAG; they love to shut down conservative/traditional persons like me.
