Internet not FLOW-ing in Harbour View
THE EDITOR, Sir:
I have recently come to the realisation that Columbus Communications (FLOW) cannot manage to provide quality, uninterrupted service to the Harbour View area. My views have come against the background that the community was without Internet service for the entire day on Thursday, October 12 and then again on October 16. This is less than four days apart.
When contacted, their customer service representative could not give details as to when the service would resume or what was the root of the disruption.
I do wonder, though, how the provider expect those persons who earn a living via online jobs to survive when they have missed more than 20 hours of work? Will they provide free Internet to us or will they pay all our other bills? An even greater question has weighed on my mind, though: How long would restoration take should a hurricane or other natural hazard affect the island?
FLOW, this is the 21st century, and proper service planning would have prepared you for whatever problems you are facing in my area so as to have a shorter restoration time.
FLOW, please fix your problems, as I try to fix mine. Oh, and I'm looking forward to my rebate.
