Keep JUTC women drivers behind wheel

On September 26, 2017, Saudi Arabia's King Salman lifted a ban on female drivers, reversing a long-held tradition of the patriarch.

Western female drivers, on a whole, including Jamaican female drivers, have long enjoyed the sheer privileges of driving without being fired upon, jailed, or even beaten.

The Jamaica Urban Transit Company (JUTC) has recently announced an exercise to reduce staffing levels. The women of today have come a long way, and the it has been proven that they are indeed safer drivers than men.

I hope that the JUTC management would think twice with regards to the sacking of female drivers in its fleet.
