Road to disgrace
THE EDITOR, Sir:
I am a millennial who voted for Andrew Holness. I ply the difficult road from Seaforth to Morant Bay in St Thomas every day, and while long disgusted with our Member of Parliament James Robertson, I wanted to give Holness a chance.
The condition of roads in St Thomas is well known and again led to demonstrations this week. I was disappointed to see photographs circulating on social media of a widening and improvement of a road in Beverly Hills while we here in St Thomas continue to suffer.
I call upon the National Works Agency to justify to the country why a perfectly good road leading into Beverly Hills is more important than the road to Seaforth, St Thomas, which hundreds of residents rely on every day just to make ends meet.
