Gayle greatest ever T20 batsman

We have said that Chris Gayle is a batsman in a class by himself. That is true, indeed.

But not only is he in a class by himself, he is in the greatest class ever.

This young veteran has blasted his way to another milestone by smashing an unbeaten 146 for the Rangpur Riders in the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) 2017 final, which included 18 massive sixes a few days ago.

He has the highest individual T/20 score of 175. He is the first batsman to score 20 centuries in T20 cricket, the first cricketer to score 11,000 runs in T20 cricket, the first player to hit 100 sixes in the BPL, and the first player to hit 18 sixes in a game. And the list continues. Chris Gayle is Mr First in everything (MFIE).

Gayle is like a hurricane in the shorter formats. He is no doubt the greatest T20 batsman of all time - and overall - one of the greatest cricketers to have ever played the game of cricket. His batting style and technique may not be as good as Viv Richards' or Lawrence Rowe's, who moved their feet and danced down the wicket, but for me, he is among the greats.

Congratulations, once again, to the king of sixes - the great Chris Gayle.
