Boyne leaves lasting legacy

Published:Wednesday | December 20, 2017 | 12:00 AM

THE EDITOR, Sir:

It is with extreme sadness that I heard the news of Ian Boyne's untimely passing at such a relatively young age. I pray the legacy he has left will be taken up and run with to help our troubled country.

As he cited in his Profile of Prosperity, "My profession prides itself on giving people the facts. But people need more than hard, cold facts. They need motivation. They need inspiration. Humans are not one-dimensional. This country cries out for motivational leadership. Our young people, en masse, need to be motivated to excel."

I hope that it will start with your paper.

My condolences to his family, friends and Jamaica.

Rest in peace, glorious peace, Ian Boyne.
