All for a party?

Those responsible for the recent 'Sandz' beach party, which caused a pile-up of traffic and roadblock along the Palisadoes strip, and hindered access to the airport, must feel a sense of shame. Poor planning, indiscipline, and selfishness, coupled with insufficient law enforcement, were all on full show.

How did the organisers receive a permit to put on this event? I understand this was the second staging. I've heard of flight delays, pilots and flight crews being unable to get to the airport on time, and passengers being either late getting to the airport or missing their flights entirely. Have we no discipline? Are we so selfish and uncaring? Is our society deteriorating to the extent that lawlessness rules? Where was the authority responsible for enforcing law and order and public safety, even when they saw the problem escalating into a major bottleneck along a critical thoroughfare? On what basis does the authority grant these permits? Are noise, traffic, and crowd control ever factored in? How did we get to the stage where a beach party could cause such major disruption to a vital economic service such as air transportation?
