A plan for failure

THE EDITOR, Sir:

I'm Economic Hitman. I have worked on various projects associated with loans, grants etc.. from the World Bank, IDB, IMF. Do you know the real purpose of these organisations? We provide sweet loans in the form of building infrastructure that's totally unnecessary for Third World countries and in turn, increase your debts.

The debts will never be repaid because of the corrupt politicians of your country. These loans will never be paid off and as a result austerity measures will be put in place. Did you see what happened to Greece? Where do you think all the money spent on these projects end up ? Jamaica ? No.

The projects are always given to overseas companies, who in turn hire cheap labourers. Perhaps 10 per cent stays in Jamaica.

Do you ever stop to think about the fact that your country will never repay these debts?

Jamaicans aren't even aware of the big picture. Keep them distracted and their minds will always be passive. Everything that is happening is planned.
