Disarm gun owners to your peril
THE EDITOR, Sir:
I read Gordon Robinson's column ('Gunning for disaster', Sunday Gleaner, March 4, 2018) and will only partly agree that they are some firearm holders who should not even carry a knife, but where we are miles apart is on disarming the citizenry.
There is a saying, 'When guns are outlawed, only outlaws will have guns'. I assume that more homes are not invaded because the criminals are unsure whether a firearm owner is living there (though I suppose they could do their own investigation to find out).
But seriously, Mr Robinson, you could never be serious.
