Political tribalism at its worst
THE EDITOR, Sir:
It is unfortunate that a political representative has shed his cloak of neutrality to all the people of Jamaica and to promulgate the position that Labourites will be better able to have their interests served with a Rural Agricultural Development Authority chairman who is a member of the governing political party.
The misfortune is for all the people of Jamaica who have lost respect for the political parties and the Jamaican political system. The practice of putting in place persons who are political loyalists is done by both parties.
This most recent statement by State Minister Rudyard Spencer only verifies what is a long-standing practice of both political parties since their inception.
I think that Government is to represent all the people. Unfortunately, this has never been the case.
