We demand better governance
THE EDITOR, Sir:
It is a shame that billions can be spent on pointless projects with nothing to show while communities lack basic needs.
The roads are in a deplorable state. Councillors should be on top of their game. Street lighting has improved, but there is still a way to do. Garbage collection is still struggling. When will Jamaica get it together and meet the needs of the people?
Politicians should take note of the fact that voter turnout has been on the decline and act assiduously to reverse this trend. Prime Minister Andrew Holness should put some of his talk when he was opposition leader into action. Now is the time to act, PM! We are watching.
