Thanks for the laughs, Elva
THE EDITOR, Sir:
I had just returned from the funeral of my beloved, beautiful and kind aunt, Coralee Burrell, when I heard the news. What? Elva Ruddock is gone.
At first, I was in complete shock, mouth wide open, eyes riveted to the television screen. Then numbness came. Could this be real?
I never met the lady, but she impacted me with her infectious laughter, love for humanity, and her strong communication skills. Watching the Bashco infomercial with her and Omar Azan was a nice pastime for me.
The Jamaican media landscape has lost a real gem. I cannot understand the hand of God, but He has chosen to take her now. Condolences to her family and the media family.
Goodbye, Elva, you will be greatly missed. Thank you for giving many of us a smile in this harsh world.
