Urgent work needed on University Road
THE EDITOR, Sir:
It has been going close to a year since the University Road has collapsed, and we have been waiting on the relevant authorities to fix it since, but it has yet to be fixed. The Hope Valley Experimental School children are most affected because if they missed the shuttle bus that is assigned to take them to school, they are left waiting way past school hours just for a taxi to take them to their school.
Some children even walk it to school, and it is not safe because of the deep hole in the middle of the road. They could fall in and hurt themselves or possibly die from the impact of the fall.
We would love to see work being done on the road before an accident occurs.
