THE EDITOR, Sir:
On Wednesday morning at around 8:40, the driver of the 2017 Isuzu DMAX, registered to the Ministry of Industry, Commerce, Agriculture and Fisheries (Reg: 304401), nearly caused two accidents on Trafalgar Road in St Andrew.
First, he ignored the stop sign on Nelson Way and entered Trafalgar Road at speed, forcing me and the car in the lane beside me to slam brakes to prevent crashing into the side of the pickup.
I beeped my horn in frustration and switched into the left lane.
Then after deciding that he was not going to wait in the turning lane to enter Knutsford Boulevard, he recklessly cut across into my lane – again – accelerating to squeeze into the space in front of my vehicle.
The driver then drove in front of the turning line – into the middle of the intersection – and stopped, waiting to turn right, and in the process blocking cars turning right on to Trafalgar Road.
I am certain nothing will come of this, but this show of recklessness should not be tolerated.
(a very annoyed) James
