Child wiser than the mother?
THE EDITOR, Sir:
I have been watching and reading with horror and wonderment at the suicidal antics of British parliamentarians over Brexit and other issues in their so-called mother of Parliaments. Two days ago, I observed how a political party in Jamaica, acting within the same parliamentary conventions and democratic roots, was able to successfully settle a fundamental political party difference without either national acrimony or petulant party resignations.
Can it be that the child possesses greater maturity and wisdom than the mother?
