THE EDITOR, Madam:

A massive public education campaign is a possible solution to the dengue crisis. The following could be the most important lessons learnt from this:-

All parents must be taught fever-reduction methods and monitoring a rising fever with the use of a thermometer.

All of this first-aid activity must be on the way to the hospital.

Ensure good nutrition for your children to build the immune system to ward off infection.

Our medical teams know best, and children must be treated for the complications of fever, especially in the case of children who are asthmatic.

Mosquito bites could also be a cause of allergic reactions, and thus, emergency resuscitation could be necessary.

The deep study of insect life and the various modern mutations must be thoroughly investigated.

Parents must make every effort to own independent safe housing to raise their families.

Public education must be in the heart of school zones. Every school must be visited by a health team before the end of the term. The children are sitting major examinations, and with the knowledge we provide to them regarding self-care, we will be amazed at how swiftly they will apply the intelligence.
