Have we gone mad?
THE EDITOR, Madam:
Have we gone berserk?
I understand that some Jamaicans have taken it upon themselves to brutalise others, based on their presumptions that such persons are carriers of COVID-19.
What is that? Such vile acts must be condemned! Those who dare to engage in this contravention of other people’s human rights must face the law in due course.
Then again, since the beatings are usually administered via close contact, those brutal, heavy-handed, imbecilic beasts may receive their ultimate beatings from none other than the virus itself.
Hey! Let those who feel they need to ‘beat’ knock themselves out, at will. They should not be hurting others. This is no time for victimisation.
