Time to Unwind

Some days, you will leave work feeling accomplished and satisfied. But there are some days that you are totally spent, and stressed to the limit. So how do you unwind after a long day at work? Here’s how:

Take a nice long bath

It could be a shower, or a soak. Either way, wash your troubles away basking in your own company. Warm water is said to relax the muscles, while cold water revitalises, so pick your mode of operation and get to scrubbing.

Movie night

Want to escape the pressures of the world? Bury yourself in the world of fantasy. Choose a movie within your genre of choice, and get caught up in the plot, twists, drama and surprises in store for you.

Music time

Reggae legend, Bob Marley once said, “One good thing about music, when it hits, you feel no pain.” So just image the power of music in easing away the pain of a long day. Plug in and dance away your fears.

Catch up on your reading

Have a book you've been wanting to read but just haven't got around to doing so? Well, reading after a taxing day at work is the best way to relax your mind. Curling up with a good read is an awesome way to get the body in relax mode.

Wine and Dine

If you can't be bothered to head home, then some wining and dining will do the trick -guaranteeing a calming night. It can either be with your significant other, close friends, or family members. Just be sure you're in good company.

Home massage

The whole reason spas were invented, was to relax and pamper the body. But who are we kidding? We’d have to plan and make that trip an event. In the interim, that's where your heartbeat comes in. A head rub, back rub or foot massage might be just the remedy you need. And who knows? That magical rub may lead to other things guaranteed to ultimately alleviate any stress you might be under.
