Grant and other interests groups met with government officials over the planned increase which has caused public anger.

Senior citizens were to be hit hardest by the increases.

They were expected to pay 200 per cent or $60 up from $20.

Adults would pay $120 up from $100 while children would pay $30, up from $20.
