NWC partners with private provider to supply Corporate Area communities

The National Water Commission (NWC) has partnered with a privately owned company to provide an additional one million gallons of water per day to several Corporate Area communities.

The NWC signed the partnership with Jamaica Wells/Talawah Investments yesterday.

Under the agreement, the company's Ballater Avenue Well will be linked with the Water Commission's network to provide the additional supply.

Water Minister Robert Pickersgill, says the well will greatly assist the commission in providing water across the corporate area, given the drought conditions currently being experienced.

The newly-commissioned system will serve both residential and commercial customers in the Waltham Park Road, Maxfield Avenue and Spanish Town Road areas.
