The Jamaica Public Service Company (JPS) says it has increased security at its Old Harbour Bay Power station following a shooting incident yesterday.

However, JPS says it is satisfied that there was no breach of the Company’s security at the property.

It says further investigations into the shooting incident have revealed that the gunmen did not invade the premises, but had fired the shots from outside the perimeter fence surrounding the property.

Two persons received gunshot wounds, and a third person was injured when he fell while trying to avoid the shots during the incident.
