Even with rescue crews reporting no success so far in the search for a missing private plane that crashed off the northeast coast of Jamaica nearly three days ago with a New York developer and his wife aboard, the Government here has pledged to continue the search.

However, the authorities have not said for how long they are prepared to continue the search. The search ended yesterday with no success, despite a report early in the day that debris believed to be from the aircraft had been spotted.

The Jamaica Defence Force said yesterday that the debris appeared to have sank.

The police say they have held briefings with fishermen from the coastal Portland area to advise them to make contact if debris is spotted.

The aircraft, which crashed at approximately 1:10 Friday afternoon, had departed from Rochester, New York, heading south to Naples, Florida with couple Larry and Jane Glazer onboard. They are both licensed and experienced pilots.
