Roger Clarke's body arrives in Jamaica

KINGSTON, Jamaica:

The body of Agriculture Minister Roger Clarke arrived in Kingston this afternoon.




The casket, draped in the Jamaican flag, was met at the Norman Manley International Airport by Prime Minister Portia Simpson Miller and other members of the Cabinet.



Clarke's widow, Sonia, former Prime Minister PJ Patterson and members of the diplomatic corps were also among those at the airport as well as Opposition member, Daryl Vaz.






Clarke died on August 28 in the United States from a suspected heart attack while attempting to return to Jamaica after undergoing back surgery in Miami.



The former Agriculture Minister is to be buried in Westmoreland on Saturday.
