Emotions ran high at the Sharon Baptist Church in Santa Cruz, St Elizabeth where the casket bearing the body of the late Minister of Agriculture, Roger Clarke was open for viewing.

Hundreds of people from across the parish took time out to pay their last respect to the beloved politician.

The solemn atmosphere was punctuated by sounds of weeping and moaning by some who came to bid farewell to Clarke.

The solitude was also disturbed by a rowdy crowd who jostled for badges bearing the minister's image.

Clarke's body has been moved on to the Manning's School in Westmoreland for viewing.

He will be buried tomorrow in Glen Islay, Westmoreland following a funeral at the Sav-la-mar Parish Church.
