The St Thomas police are now probing what they believe to be a car stealing ring operating in Lyssons.

Deputy Superintendent Beresford Williams says in recent weeks a number of vehicles have been reported stolen in the community and that the Toyota Corolla has been the car of choice.

Williams says the police have since increased patrols in the area and are urging residents to report any suspicious activity in the Lyssons community.

The police are also urging motor vehicle owners to secure their motor vehicles and to report thefts as quickly as possible.
