WESTERN BUREAU: Bliss Bridal Boutique received a very warm welcome in the Second City when the wedding shop opened its newest location at the Bogue City Centre, Montego Bay last Thursday night.

Several wedding planners and other representatives from hotels in and around Montego Bay attended the opening to view the wide variety of bridal dresses that were on display.

"Being in the wedding business, there are times when we have brides that come to our hotel and decide on the spot that they are getting married and one of our significant challenges have been a lack of nice wedding stores here in Montego Bay. So with Bliss coming here, it is wonderful for us as both our international and local brides can now have access to beautiful wedding dresses," noted Julianne McIntosh, wedding coordinator at Holiday Inn Sunspree Resort.

A short but fascinating fashion show brought some of the dresses to life much to the delight of the industry players. One dress in particular came with a special surprise, which was the ability to be worn as two separate outfits.

While taking in the sights and sounds, guests were treated to a scrumptious assortment of hors d'oeuvres and cupcakes which were accompanied by wine, champagne and other beverages. These were served up by a team of attentive servers from Couples Resort Negril.

Ever the consummate host, boutique owner Sara Stanford took time out to thank guests for supporting her opening and made it her duty to meet and greet everyone individually, further ensuring that they were all well catered to.

The event was jointly sponsored by Wray & Nephew, Couples Resort Negril, Tai Flora, Reggae Tech and Mo√ęt & Chandon.
