Leroy Lindsay has resigned as Director General of the Jamaica Civil Aviation Authority (JCAA), effective today.

His resignation was announced by Chairman on the JCAA board, Michael Hylton, in a release today.

The release said Deputy Director General in charge of Regulatory Affairs, Nari Williams-Singh, will assume the position of acting Director General, in the interim.

The JCAA’s Board of Directors says it thanks Lindsay for his period of service and wishes him the best for future endeavours.

Lindsay was named the new Director General of the JCAA on November 1, 2013.

He replaced Colonel Oscar Derby who had resigned to take up a position in Curacao.

The Jamaica Civil Aviation Authority (JCAA) is the statutory organisation, which is responsible for regulating Jamaica’s aviation industry and supporting its safe and orderly development.
