Today marks exactly one year since the abduction and suspected murder of a businessman and a University of Technology (UTech) graduate from their St Andrew home.

Twenty-seven-year-old businessman, Curtis Martin, and 25-year-old university graduate, Mario Daley, were abducted at gunpoint.

They have not been seen or heard from since.

Three weeks after the October 21 abduction Dionne Mitchell, Damion Lawrence and Evon Simmonds were arrested on gun related charges in relation to the disappearance of the men.

They made their last appearance in court last week Thursday and were remanded in custody until a new date is announced.

In the meantime, investigators last night told The Gleaner/Power 106 News Centre that they are still awaiting a report from the forensic lab regarding the case.

The prosecution is considering upgrading the charge in the abduction of the two St Andrew men to murder.

The police have confirmed that a Jamaican businessman residing in the US, offered 300 thousand dollars for the men’s abduction.
