Alleged 15-y-o gunman among three children shot in Heroes Day attack

Police investigators are reporting that one of the three children shot and injured in Kingston on Heroes Day is believed to have been a gunman.

According to the police communications unit, the 15-year-old boy was shot in an apparent cross fire.

The minor, who remains in hospital under police guard, is expected to be charged by detectives later this week.

The police say the other two victims - ‎a 15-year-old girl and her seven-year-old sister - were walking in the vicinity of Church and North streets when they were pounced upon by a group of men who opened fire at them.

They say it's during that attack that the third minor, was shot and injured by his cronies in a crossfire.

Meanwhile, the detectives have listed Javaughn Warren, otherwise known as ‘Kadeen’ of Oxford Street, Kingston 14 as a person of interest in relation to the incident.

Warren is being urged to visit the Central Police Station immediately.

Anyone knowing his whereabouts is being asked to contact the Central Police at 922-5076/922-4089, Police 119 emergency or the nearest Police Station.
