On Tuesday night, the Caribbean Development Bank hosted Caribbean nationals at a reception held at the Jamaican, Canadian Association in Toronto. President of the CDB Dr Warren Smith, was the guest of the Dean of the CARICOM Consular Corps, Seth George Ramocan. Dr Smith addressed Caribbean diplomats, civic groups and community leaders and provided them with an update on the work of the CDB, Canada's support of the region through the CDB and critical development challenges to be addressed, with particular focus on the cost of energy and its impact on international competitiveness.
