China Harbour nurtures summer interns

Twenty-two students gained an opportunity for

summer internship at China Harbour Engineering Company (CHEC) Americas Division. Participating students are from a number of high schools, including graduates of Wolmer's Boys, Wolmer's Girls, St Mary's College, Meadowbrook High, Campion High, Kingston College, Ardenne High, St Andrew High School for Girls, and Holy Childhood High School. Some are currently enrolled at the University of the West Indies, Mona, and the University of Technology.

Following the orientation

session where participants were given an overview on the company and an opportunity to

mingle with their peers, students were assigned to a number of departments, including Human Resources, Business Development, Finance, Communication, General Affairs, and the Major Infrastructure Development Programme. A

few budding engineers were strategically placed at CHEC's Treadways site offices in Linstead, Caymanas, Wakefield, and Golden Grove.
