Western Bureau: Ocean Style Magazine maintained its trend of bringing talented top-class designers to the Second City with yet another successful staging of its annual weekend of festivities.

The celebrations kicked off last Thursday night on the lawns of the Old Hospital Park in Montego Bay, where there were non-stop lights, camera and action as the opening show dubbed Rip the Strip got underway at approximately 10:00 pm, hosted by popular radio broadcaster, Miss Kitty.

Known for bringing top-notch celebrities into Montego Bay, this year was no different, with organisers delivering with Nicole Murphy, star of the American reality television series, Hollywood Exes; celebrity stylist Freddie Leiba; retired basketball legends John Salley, and Julius 'Dr J' Erving; and actors Mekhi Phifer and Flex Alexander.

These special guests brought excitement to the VIP tent, which needed a lot more space to accommodate all the photographers and patrons who wanted to meet and greet them.

The excitement continued on Friday with an exclusive dinner party at the Iberostar Grand in Rose Hall, honouring Leiba; whose repertoire of clients include Beyoncé, Janet Jackson, Diana Ross among others. Dinner was followed by Eyes Wide Shut, the all-white party held on the lawns of the Rose Hall Great House.

Murphy was among the celebrities who walked the runway at Eyes Wide Shut; showcasing exotic pieces from Kingston-based, designer, Lisa McIntosh-Aires, and a collection by Angel Sanchez.

The 2014 weekend of festivities, closed in fine style on Saturday night with a fashion show featuring designers Carlton Jones and Ashley Martin, both based in New York. Martin received a standing ovation for her predominantly white and black colour collection; which carried an eye-catching selection of formal gowns.

The show was closed off by designs from Moschino, drawing the curtains on another successful Ocean Style production! TODAY brings you all the fashionable highlights.
