The Water Tank Push-Up Challenge for schools that have no reliable water supply, launched by Digicel's Trisha Williams-Singh and former Olympian Juliet Cuthbert-Flynn, is close to its half-million dollar mark.

As at yesterday, the account only needed $72,000 to reach that goal. Two of the more recent contributors are the staff of The Jamaica Pegasus hotel and GraceKennedy, who gave $10,000. The team has already bought 18 water tanks and distributed them to schools across the island.
