Cops get much needed appliances

Police personnel at the Bluefields Police Station in Westmoreland are grateful to Sandals Resorts and Appliance Traders Limited for the recent donation of a stainless steel refrigerator, stove and television set.

Addressing guests at the handover ceremony, Sandals Whitehouse's general manager, Courtney Miller said, "SRI and the ATL group are dedicated to supporting those who help to protect our community. The officers spend so much time on the job, their office space should be equipped enough for them to have a cold beverage, prepare a hot meal or stay in tune with events around the globe," Miller said.

Sergeant Dave Simpson, sub-officer in charge of the station thanked community member Eifert Daley who told the Sandals and ATL teams about their needs, as well as the companies' Chief Executive Officer Adam Stewart for coming to their help so quickly.
