Pricesmart Jamaica continues to support charitable initiatives that seek to improve the social and economic

development of the country.

Each year, Pricesmart Jamaica gives back to at least five non-profit organisations items of merchandise through its Price Philanthropies Foundation. The foundation is a private family foundation based in the United States and created in 1983 by Sol and Helen Price, the former being the co-founder of the Pricesmart chain of membership shopping clubs.

The Jamaica Environment Trust used most of the items it received for their annual International Coastal Clean-up Day.

Jamaica AIDS Support For Life received a donation from the foundation to aid in its mandate to preserve the dignity and rights of persons living with HIV and AIDS.

The Abilities Foundation of Jamaica also received a donation, as well as the Garland Hall Children's Home, an orphanage that is privately run by the Jamaican Women's Baptist Federation. PriceSmart Jamaica is extremely grateful and proud that we are able to give back to Jamaican charities in such a big way.
