Four-day water lock-off planned for some in St Andrew

Published:Friday | November 28, 2014 | 9:22 AM

National Water Commission (NWC) customers served by the Hope Water Treatment Plant in St Andrew are to be without water for four days beginning today.

The NWC has been urging these customers to store water ahead of the disruption in service.

It says the interruption in service is to facilitate critical improvement works undertaken as part of the 26-Facilities Project.

The communities to be affected include August Town, Hope Flats, Papine, Mona Heights, Hope Road, Beverly Hills, Hope Pastures and environs and Gordon Town and environs.

The other areas which will be affected are Kintyre, Ravinia, Liguanea, Up Park Camp and Sections of Barbican Road.

The NWC says restoration of service is expected no later than December 2.
