St James 'Sniper' charged by police

The police have charged a 30-year-old St James man with illegal possession of firearm and ammunition.

The charges were laid on Ralston 'Sniper' Lawn, of Unity Crescent, Farm Hill, in the parish yesterday.

It is reported that about 1:30 p.m., a team of officers from the Mount Salem Police Station carried out a search of premises occupied by Lawn, during which one Browning 9mm pistol with a magazine containing seven rounds of ammunition were seized.

He is scheduled to appear before the Western Regional Gun Court on December 11.
