Published:Monday | December 8, 2014 | 12:54 AM

Alleged gang leader Christopher Linton also called 'Dog Paw' is expected to stand trial today for the 2010 murder of a mother and her child.

He is to be tried in the Home Circuit Court with his co-accused, Donald Allen and Yannick Ellis.

Previous attempts to start the trial failed because of the unavailability of witnesses.

It is being alleged that on December 19, 2010, Linton and two others murdered Dania Forbes, Marnest Hylton and six-year-old Johleme McKay in Bedward Gardens in August Town, St Andrew.

Fire was set to the house in which the three were sleeping.

Linton is serving a 15-year prison sentence for shooting at a police team in Tavern, St Andrew in April 2010.

He is appealing against the conviction and sentence.
