More than 1,600 persons from five Fellowship Tabernacles recently gathered for the second annual Congress of Churches, at the Tabernacle headquarters on Fairfield Avenue in Kingston.

The theme this year, "Demonstrating Kingdom Life Style, Repositioning and Realigning", guided the formal and informal segments of the General Congress and Caucus Sessions.

The worshippers enjoyed fellowship with each other, and were refreshed and revived by the powerful preaching of senior pastor and apostolic leader, the Reverend Al Miller.

The opening proceedings of the General Assembly had all the pomp and excitement of a national celebration, replete with steel-band music, dancers, a processional and The National Anthem of Jamaica and food.

STERN CHALLENGE

It concluded with a stern and heartfelt challenge to increase Fellowship with one another. The preaching was done in a dual style by Miller and Apostle Bishop from Barbados.

The Leadership Caucus Group (LCG) focused on repositioning and realigning the ministries of the church closer to the whole counsel of God's word on service, fellowship, discipleship, worship and evangelism. The LCG is the body in which church policy and direction are discussed and agreed on.

Last year's LCG validated the leadership and apostleship of Miller, while this year's LCG agreed and established that the primary ministry of all Fellowship Tabernacle churches and affiliate churches, for 2015 is service!

"Fellowship Tabernacle congregants must be God's servants here on earth, serving the total needs of the total man through the total ministries of the whole church," Miller emphasised.
