Energy Minister, Phillip Paulwell is repeating his call to consumers of petrol to be vigilant when they go to the pumps to buy gas.

Paulwell says today is being observed as yet another ‘pump watch day’.

The prices of gasoline were cut by $3.17 today.

Paulwell says it is important for consumers to observe whether these price reductions announced by Petrojam will be reflected at the pumps.

According to him, feedback indicated that the consumer watch last week resulted in increased vigilance of consumers across the island and may have resulted in greater pass-through of the reductions.

The energy minister said it is therefore important that consumers do not let up even as the country celebrates Christmas.
