Assistant Commissioner Delworth Heath is urging the men and women of the police force to go the extra mile in the execution of their duties over the next several days.

This as the country is close to achieving fewer than 1,000 murders this year.

If the target is achieved, the country would have registered the lowest murders to date since 2003.

Heath says each member of the force must find the extra effort to achieve this goal.

He says there is little time for talk as all members of the force must be purposefully focused and engaged on the execution of their duties.

Heath also encouraged Commanders and Station Managers to fully mobilise their officers to ensure the goal is achieved.
