2013 Guardsman truck cocaine bust trial on today

Two St James men charged with the 2013 seizure of over $250 million worth of cocaine found in a Guardsman security truck are to stand trial this morning.



Owen Glaze and Andrew Brown's trial in the Montego Bay Resident Magistrate's Court is scheduled to last for two days.



Resident Magistrate Carolyn Tie is expected to preside.



The two men were arrested on April 20, 2013 after the Guardsman vehicle in which they were travelling was searched by the police in Mount Carey, St James and the cocaine was allegedly found.



They were later charged with possession of cocaine, dealing in cocaine, taking steps to export cocaine and trafficking cocaine.
