KINGSTON, Jamaica:

The driver of a Jamaica Urban Transit Company (JUTC) bus and several passengers had to be taken to hospital this morning following a crash along Studio One Boulevard, in Cross Roads in Kingston.

It is reported that the JUTC driver swerved to avoid hitting a trailer which was driving out of a plaza, when the bus slammed into a wall.

A car then rammed into the back of the bus.

Marketing and communications manager of the state-owned bus company, Clinton Clarke, says the driver as well as some passengers were still receiving medical treatment.
