The two juveniles charged in connection with the murder of retired nurse, Hyacinth Hayden, in Trelawny are to make their first court appearance today.

They are set to appear before the Clarks Town Resident Magistrate's Court at 10 a.m.

The police charged the boys on Monday.

They are also facing charges of robbery.

Meanwhile, the police have reportedly put plans in place to ensure there is adequate security at the courthouse.

The police say the pre-emptive move is in anticipation of the large crowds which is expected to gather at the courthouse.

Hayden, who is a former Matron of the Falmouth Hospital, was killed on New Year's Eve at her Green Park home in Trelawny.

She was 79 years old.
