The new Scotiabank Group Financial Centre in Fairview hosted Montegonians to a cocktail event as part of their official opening on Wednesday.

The centre offers the bank's full suite of services in a new state-of-the-art facility, with a team of expert advisers and service representatives all under one roof. The highly anticipated opening incorporated technological innovation, dynamic presentations and an impressive entertainment showcase. Scotiabank has continued celebrations with a week of activities including a red tag sale, two car shows (ATL yesterday and Toyota today), a random act-of-kindness activity, and the launch of premium banking to the community.

Located in the rapidly growing business district of Fairview, the centre has been the recipient of much enthusiasm from the Montego Bay community, who demonstrated its commitment and interest by initiating numerous new business activities.

According to Michael Shaw, district vice-president, "We have been pleasantly overwhelmed with the interest, and especially impressed the number of new clients who have come in to do business at the branch."

Multiple services

The 19,000 square foot building offers customers access to financial options across the group, including services from Scotia Insurance, Scotia Investments, and Scotiabank, which includes small business banking, retail banking, premium banking, and commercial banking. It also boasts adequate parking facilities to accommodate up to 190 cars, and it will be the first location on the island to offer one in-branch and three drive-thru ATMs.

The design of the branch, which sets the tone for all new Scotiabank branches going forward, is spacious and focused on the comfort and needs of the customer, with special attention given to facilitating persons with disabilities. This is another demonstration of Scotiabank's continued long-term commitment to MoBay since the first branch was opened in 1906.
