Opposition says Anthony Hylton needs immediate help managing his ministry
The parliamentary opposition says there is now an immediate need for steps to be taken to help Anthony Hylton manage the Industry, Investment and Commerce Ministry meet its objectives which include driving job creation.
Spokesperson on Investment and Commerce, Karl Samuda, made the call in reaction to the unfavourable auditor general’s report on the operations of the ministry.
Samuda says the findings confirm his previous comments regarding the ministry and what he calls the lack of energy and few achievements.
He says the ministry is now in a state of instability characterised by weak management systems.
He says the Hylton should now meet with all the heads of departments in the ministry and find a way to address the concerns raised.
