It appears the websites of the Bank of Jamaica (BOJ) and the National Commercial Bank of Jamaica may have been compromised.

The Gleaner/Power 106 News Centre has received complaints from users that they have been unable to conduct online business or view the websites.

Our news centre went on the websites which appeared to have the correct Uniform Resource Locator (URL).

However, the page did not display anything related to either company.

Meanwhile, when our news centre contacted the National Commercial Bank, an official said they were aware of the issue but could not make any further comment at this time.

BOJ representative, Hillary Robertson said all of its systems are intact.

She says not all clients have the same experience when accessing the website.

Robertson says the BOJ is currently investigating the problem.
