Tourism Minister, Dr Wykeham McNeill, is reporting that arrivals for the Winter Tourist Season are showing positive signs.

McNeill has indicated that between the start of the season on December 15, 2014 and the first two weeks of 2015 tourist arrivals were up by five per cent in Kingston and Montego Bay.

He says hotels are also reporting positive numbers.

McNeill says the tourism ministry is projecting that Jamaica will have a very good Winter Tourist Season.

However, the tourism minister says his ministry will continue its marketing drive to get more visitors to the island.
