I feel vindicated, says Arthur Williams after court ruling
Former Jamaica Labour Party Senator Arthur Williams says he has been vindicated by the decision of the Constitutional Court.
Speaking following the ruling this morning, Williams said he has always maintained that the matter was not about him personally, but was instead a matter of constitution.
Williams has not yet made up his mind about his next steps.
The former Senator says he will take the next few days to read through the judgment thoroughly and consider his options before commenting on whether he will fight to be reinstated as an opposition Senator.
Following the ousting of Williams and Dr Christopher Tufton, Jamaica College Principal Ruel Reid and businessman Nigel Clarke were sworn in to replace them as opposition senators in the Upper House.
