Latty... no indication yet as to the post that he will occupy at Digicel.

Sean Latty, the Managing Director Columbus Communications Jamaica, operator of Flow, has resigned.

It is understood that he will be heading to Digicel.

Sources close to FLOW have confirmed the news but up to press time the staff had not been informed.

There is no indication yet as to the post that Latty will occupy at Digicel.

There has been unease at FLOW in recent times following news that Cable and Wireless Plc has acquired the Columbus Communication - the parent company for Flow - in a deal worth US$3 billion.

Regulators across the Caribbean have not yet approved the merger but Technology Minister Phillip Paulwell has so far given Jamaica's approval.

In the meantime, The Gleaner Online understands that plans are in place to effect the mechanics of the merger.
